Bio

• Proud Holmdel parent of two sons currently attending Holmdel High School and Holmdel resident for 18 years.

  
  

• Received a B.A. in Education from Loyola University Maryland and a Master of Education in Administration and Supervision from Rutgers University.

  
  

• Freehold Township educator for 22 years, with experience teaching:

  • Kindergarten

  • Fourth grade

  • Literacy and intervention services supporting students who need additional instruction and targeted support in reading and language arts

  Active member of several school‑based teams, including:

  • Intervention and Referral Services (I&RS)

  • Curriculum Writing Team

  • School Safety Team

  • Collaborates with colleagues to identify student needs, recognize trends, and develop proactive strategies to support student success.

Why I’m Running for Holmdel Board of Education

Listen First

I believe it’s essential to understand the experiences and perspectives of students, parents, teachers, staff, administrators, and community members across all schools. While my own children have attended Holmdel schools from kindergarten through high school, I recognize that every family and every school has a unique perspective. I want to learn what is working well, where improvement is possible, and how we can continue building on the district’s strengths.

Student‑Centered Decision Making

All decisions should be made through the lens of student impact. We should ask thoughtful questions, review outcomes, and focus resources on programs and opportunities that make a meaningful difference in students’ academic success, well‑being, and overall experience. When difficult choices arise, student impact must remain at the forefront.

Thoughtful and Responsible Decision Making

Holmdel families expect both excellent schools and responsible spending. I believe in asking questions, reviewing results, and ensuring we get the most value from the programs and services we invest in. Before adding something new, we should understand whether what we’re already doing is working. Similarly, I would look for efficiencies before cutting programs that directly impact our students.

Strengthen Collaboration and Community Trust

The Board of Education should communicate openly, seek community input, and make decisions based on facts, data, and thoughtful discussion. Even when people disagree, they should feel heard and understand how decisions are made. I aim to bring a balanced perspective, listen to a wide range of voices, ask thoughtful questions, and help make informed decisions that support Holmdel’s students, families, staff, and community.
